Bicha Ngo was appointed President and CEO in February 2024.
She joined Investissement Québec in October 2019 as Executive Vice-President, Private Investment. In this role, Ms. Ngo worked to identify and support the key sectors and players driving our economy.
Under her leadership, the investment and financing sectors (venture capital, investment funds, development capital, specialized financing, natural resources and energy) saw accelerated growth thanks to effective strategies designed to proactively and efficiently support businesses with solutions tailored to their specific situations.
Before joining the Crown corporation, Ms. Ngo served for nine years as Vice-President, Corporate Development at Domtar Inc. There, she managed transactions and oversaw the integration of acquired assets, while also contributing to the company’s corporate strategy. She led acquisitions and asset sales that helped transform the organization. Earlier in her career, she worked in the investment banking divisions of CIBC World Markets and Merrill Lynch.
A CFA charterholder, Bicha Ngo holds a degree in finance from HEC Montréal and began her career at HSBC.
